Presentation Guidelines

Virtual/Inperson Paper Presentation Mechanics

• The presenter is given 15 minutes for the presentation, which is usually interactive, followed by a Q & A for 5 minutes. Although the presentation will be delivered in Powerpoint Presentation with a maximum of 25 slides, reading from slides is highly discouraged.

Poster Presentation Mechanics

A poster (page form) should present valuable information and contain text, drawing and pictures. Poster dimension (width 3 ft. x 4 ft. length), portrait orientation.

Poster Content

• Title & Authors: Display the title of your research, along with the names and affiliations of all authors,
  prominently at the top of the poster.
• Abstract & Objectives: Provide a concise summary of your study and clearly state its objectives.
• Methods: Use visuals (diagrams, charts, flowcharts) where possible to describe your methodology.
• Results & Discussion: Highlight key findings with graphs, figures, and images rather than lengthy text.
• Conclusion & Implications: Summarize main conclusions and their significance to biodiversity and climate change.
• Acknowledgments: Recognize funding agencies, institutions, and collaborators.
• References: Include only the most relevant and essential references.

Criteria for accepting abstracts

• The abstract must be relevant to the Conference sub-themes and sub-topics.
• The topic must have a clear focus.
• The abstract must follow the prescribed format (no indentation, Times New Roman, 12” font size, 100-250 words only)
  and contain the following elements in order: background of topic/knowledge, research gap, objectives, methods, results, and implication.
• Name of author(s), author affiliation, email address, and keywords (at least 5) should be indicated.

Criteria for Best Paper Awards

The submission of the final paper is necessary for the selection of Best Conference Papers based on the following criteria: Academic Significance (25%); Contribution to the Community (25%); Technical Novelty (20%), Quality of Information (25%); and Language Usage (5%).

Criteria for Best Presenter

Originality and Creativity 20%; Organization (Logical presentation of ideas) 20%; Presentation (Oral presentation and delivery) 20%; Knowledge of Material (Familiarity with subject matter) 20%; Neatness (Neatness of charts, pictures, and graphs) 10%; and Overall Presentation 10%.

Criteria for Best Poster

Depth of Content 40%; Content knowledge and organization 25%; Poster Design and Overall Visual Appeal 20%; Verbal Interaction 15%.

Publication

Depth of Content 40%; Content knowledge and organization 25%; Poster Design and Overall Visual Appeal 20%; Verbal Interaction 15%.

• The conference proceedings will be published in the special edition of the refereed
  Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (JMDS), Volume 15
• The presented research paper may be published (optional) in the international peer-reviewed
  Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (JMDS), Volume 15, No.2 December 2026 Issue. The publication is free of charge.
